I have been venturing out for sometime now, but this was the first trip out with a trailer. Still a work in progress, but hope to get it built to take on most out door activities.

The trailer in this video is pretty much a stock HF trailer with a foam box built to fit it. You will see the trailer take on some abusive road conditions, but even with that very little repair work was needed once I got home. A few mods and it was ready for the next adventure into the Steen/Alvord a few weeks after this trip.

Thanks for sharing. One mod that I have found to notably help a HF frame for off pavement travel is Adding a Backbone / 2x2 Tongue.

Thanks Scott, that is one of the planned upgrades. I was thinking of lengthing the tongue a foot past the stock HF tongue length. Looks like in the picture you posted that one is even longer than a foot?

I will eventually move the axle back to allow for larger tire/wheels that will match the Jeeps. I will also move to a 3500 lbs axle and possible spring change too.

Cool. Yes, extending the tongue a foot or two on a light trailer is no problem

Scott. Not sure why a thumbnail does not show up for the video link. It shows up fine in the edit. Can you take a look. Thanks George.
