Here is my situation.

Vehicle is a 2016 Silverado 2500, 8x180mm lug pattern. Offset on wheels is 44mm.

Trailer is an M1102, 8x6.5 lug pattern. Trailer uses HMMWV wheels that have an offset of 50mm.

1) Is it safe to assume that the HMMWV wheels are "centered" on the hub bearings? Or is it
possible that the offset was simply a carry-over from the HMMWV application?

2) What is the thinnest adapter that would allow this change over?

Thanks in advance,

The trailers I deal with weigh less loaded than the dry weigh of M1102s, so I don't the experience to provide expert info.
