Starting this thread as a place to post, interesting compact setups folks come across. Stuff that could simulate peoples thinking and help them hone in what the ideal design for their home built trailer is. Also stuff that is compact and just to cool. When possible, provide a name / link to make it easier for folks to do further research.

This one falls in the too cool category. They drove this 1915 Ford Speedster towing a Teardrop from Whittier, Alaska to Fairbanks, Alaska, down the Cassiar Highway, ending up in Mt. Vernon, Washington, about a 3,000 miles trek. For full detail visit http://www.jessicaryanphotography.com/Di...ka2009.htm

HoltKamper from the Netherlands makes some interesting tent trailers. Their Astro model, has a tube framed body with fabric "sides" design. They also have a nice lightweight slat bed platform. Check them out at http://www.holtkamper.nl/Products/Astro.html

How about a Tent Topped Camper and taking your boat along too? Same idea would work nicely with canoes or kayaks

Recycling pickup beds is one way to build a Tent Topped camper. This is an example from Australia, this are done with "new" beds.

This a TVAN from Australia. As I've been thinking about Teardrop sized hardsided designs, I like its rear entry approach.
